Description

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine mainly produced by Th17 cells. It plays a vital role in immune defense, driving neutrophil recruitment and strengthening epithelial barriers against bacterial and fungal infections. However, excessive IL-17A activity is linked to autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis, contributing to chronic inflammation.

Recombinant IL-17 is frequently used to study immune responses, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases, as well as to develop targeted therapies for conditions like psoriasis, arthritis, and cancer.
